Sony Computer Entertainment UK (SCE UK) uses logistics solutions to manage the fulfilment of replacement PlayStation consoles.

With a stock of consoles being stored in a secure section of the solutions warehouse, DPD is able to pick and pack orders up to 9pm and deliver the replacement on a next day swap it service. swap it, a speedy one-for-one exchange service, allows SCE UK to collect the existing console at the same time as delivering the replacement.

Management of this logistics process by logistics solutions has enabled SCE UK to reduce the turnaround time by some 27 hours.

Beta Distribution

For office equipment suppliers Beta Distribution, there are few higher priorities than stock availability and fast delivery.

Since 2000, logistic solutions has helped Beta Distribution meet its customers' demands and rapidly expanding growth. Beta's Docklands location meant warehousing space was expensive and hard to find. So all of Beta's stock - 500 pallets at the time - was moved up to the logistics solutions warehouse in Smethwick. Eight years later and DPD is very much part of a success story that has seen Beta's turnover rise from £11m to £48m.
