All of DPD's drivers carry a Saturn CN70, which is at the cutting-edge of handheld technology - it puts us light years ahead of our competitors.
CN70 increases the speed at which information can be passed to and from DPD's national customer services department, and also significantly enhances proof of delivery quality. What's more, with data integrity in excess of 99.75%, it's a virtually flawless system.
CN70 also has an in-built camera, meaning our drivers can take photos when they leave a calling card or when they deliver to a neighbour or a safe place. Images are then available for customers to view via the website, which will help to reduce the number of queries you have to handle.
How does it work?
On delivery, the driver will take the unit and the consignment to the recipient, who will be asked to use a special pen to sign and print their name on the CN70 screen. The information is downloaded and transmitted to DPD's customer services department, providing fast, accurate proof of delivery information.
The use of electronic signature and handwriting recognition software allows CN70 to reproduce a perfect copy of the recipient's signature, which is then available on the web.
What are the benefits?
When it comes to providing customers with unbeatable levels of service, CN70 comes into its own; enabling DPD to maximise efficiency by saving time, saving paper, minimising the possibility of driver error and enhancing levels of information.
Ad-hoc collection requests
By creating an interface between our customer services team and the drivers, CN70 enables ad-hoc collection requests to be transmitted directly to the handheld unit, saving time and telephone calls.
